Many 'preparation' programs are written by large corporations who need to generalize their material so that it can be taught to students nationwide.  While this 'one fits all' is easy to market for these companies, it does not give students in the competitive atmosphere that is Northern Virginia an edge.  Specific focus is placed on SOL preparation, graphing calculator use, and skills needed to succeed on difficult tests given in the area.
