Geometry

Geometry is considered to be the 2nd course in a series of 4-5 math courses that a student will take over a their high school career.  Geometry can pose difficulties for a student who struggles with spatial and visual learning.  Core algebra skills are used throughout the curriculum and students must be able to understand accepted theories and postulates to preform the correct computation.

The following concepts will be taught in the

Geometry Seminar:

1   Conditional statements and logic

2   Parallel lines and angle relationships

3   Triangle facts and computation (Pythagorean

      Theorem, etc...)

4   Proving triangle congruence and similarity

5   Properties of quadrilaterals

6   Properties of circles
