Algebra II focuses on the core knowledge gained from Algebra I and draws upon facts learned in Geometry. Students who have a firm foundation in Algebra I skills typically excel in the first half of Algebra II - some difficulty arises with new information that is presented in the 2nd semester. A critical area of Algebra II is the student's ability to algbebraically solve and graph quadratic functions. | The following concepts will be taught in the Algebra II Seminar:
1 Multi-step algebra equations focusing specifically on inverse operations with radicals 2 Simplifying exponents and radicals 3 Factoring 4 Solving quadratics 5 Graphing quadratics 6 Simplifying rational expression and solving rational equations. |
